their nose and eye colour is very similar aswell, they look to me like they could very well be brother and sister.  I'd be surprised if they wernt actually!

You have been busy while I slept 

Interesting that the ambrotypes are also mirror images, I had known that daguerreotypes were...so this puts a different spin on things....definitely missing a wedding ring!

The faces do look similar, and it sounds like we are leaning towards her being Christopher's unmarried sister Ann. She would be 49yrs old in this picture though........do we think this is feasible? Or are we looking at an unknown older woman?

Just for completeness Christopher was 51/52yrs old in his picture.
