MILBOURNE & FUDGE
« on: Tuesday 17 August 10 15:43 BST (UK) »
Im looking for any information on a company that had premises in City Rd and Mount row yard in hoxton around 1895 onwards. They show in the 1895 post office trade directory with a number of premises in both city road and mount row yard, which was an ols road off of city road/east road which is no longer there. I would be very interested in any information about the company and who took over the premises when they moved (?)

their main trade seems to have been walking sticks and canes but they also dealt in umberella stick mounting  and gold and silver mounting. They were importers of natural canes and exporters of walking sticks.

Fudge went into the laundry business, moved to the Essex coast and died in 1940 after leaving a will: http://www.london-gazette.co.uk/issues/35039/pages/214
