National Archives
« on: Tuesday 17 August 10 16:13 BST (UK) »
Hello
Would anyone be going to the National Archives please that wouldn't mind seeing if they can find my great grandfathers Air Force records please?
I have found the following on the National Archives website but wondered if it's not too many pages if sks would be able to photograph them and email them to me please?
His details are:
Air Ministry: Air Member for Personnel and predece... AIR 79/94/7136
Harry Leonard Coggin. . Harry Leonard Coggin. 7119 - 7205. (Described at item level). (I don't know what this means - sorry)
Date: 1918 - 1928

From a previous piece of information I found on him I think his number was 7136
I know it's a cheek but I can only ask :)

I know he was in the Royal Flying Corps in the first WW and was injured in 1917.

I hope someone may be able to help me and I look forward to learning more about him if someone has the time.
Many thanks

If nobody is able to do this for you you can usually request a digital copy at up to 10 pages for L8.50 I think

Hi

Thank you for your reply.  I tried this avenue yesterday to get an estimate but my machine wouldn't let me follow through with the instructions, maybe it was an off day!  So I thought I'd ask if any Rootschatters were going.
Thanks anyway for letting me know.
Regards

Getting an estimate is not the best way to go and it's expensive.  I know it's tricky to navigate round the NA site, but if you 'request' a document you should be able to get to the Gold service, which is a fixed price, as mentioned.
