Pope in Islington
« on: Wednesday 18 August 10 16:07 BST (UK) »
My Gt Gt Grandfather Joseph Pope was born in 'Shepperton Street' Islington in 1853, his birth cert states his father was Henry Joseph Pope and his mother Martha Pope formerly Jenkins. I cannot find them in any census, though in 1861 there is a Joseph Pope of the right age but the 'mother ' is shown as Sarah. I can't find any marriage, death or birth for Martha Jenkins or Henry Joseph Pope, any suggestions gratefully received
