tracing edward byrne in athy, kildare- HELP!

Hi all,

i am totally new to the Roots process so apologies if I appear stupid! I am trying to put together a family
tree for a friend- I am trying to find family connected to Edward Byrne - full name is Edward Patrick Byrne
- born 26.05.21 in Athy, Kildare. His mother's maiden name is Kelly - Im not sure where to start looking.
He died in England but would like to trace his family in Kildare/Ireland.
What would people suggest?

His birth certificate would list names of both parents (unless illegitimate, in which case mother's name only). See here to start looking-
