Hudson of Marston Moretaine

I am trying to trace the family tree of my maternal granddfather -the
Hudson's from Marston Moretain Bedfordshire. 

I have managed to go back to around 1700's but am not sure of accuracy as there seem to have been so many Hudson in that area.
I have found info from census's from 1841 to 1891 and various ancestry sites.
my gt grandfather was Richard John Hudson 1881- 1943 ( I heard that he won a medal during the 1st ww-not sure about this so would welcome any info).
I have reached gone back 5 generations to Arthur Hudson (1779-1862) and I believe his father was Thomas , but I can't get any dates on him, he might have been married to an Ann Bunyan (any relation to John Bunyan I wonder!)
I hope to visit the area soon but would welcome any info/ideas in the meantime.

It looks lie we are both descended from Arthur Hudson and Elizabeth Harding of Marston Moretaine. I'd be glad to share notes with you. I also have several DNA test that may match yours. Have you tested?
