Thanks for the deciphering effort. Ann's (annmck) suggestions cracked it.

It was > JAN. The family name is Klepacky  (Klepacki) . He turns up in both the Ellis Island immigration and Trenton, New Jersey records as Jan (John) Klepacki. He was not at Mayers Ct. in any records that I've seen, thus far,  but that address exists in New Jersey.
