I can tell you that I have checked the 1891 and 1901 for Daniel but no trace.  There is a 1901 entry for a James and Nora Kalcher with a 4yr old son John living in Marylebone - all b Marylebone - and they are the only Kalcher family

The WWI Medal Roll Index Card has this entry

D Kalcher Regiment or Corps: RE Bly Troops Dep Regimental Number: 138955

I'm not sure on birth dates, i believe Daniel was born in 1891 possibly in London.

They had children called

The only Kalcher marriage prior to his birth was in 1883 and that was in Cheshire and was a female

There is a Daniel Kalcher marriage in 1917

They had children

There is a Daniel Kalcher death in Hackney in 1948 but he was b 1905/1906

The free1911 index only has one entry for a Daniel Kalcher and he was b 1875 and was in Islington in an institution in 1911

If you search the free 1911 index just for surname Kalcher - there are only 9 entries

Hi I believe his marriage was to a Lilian M Smith 1931 Exeter 5b 240

This then produces the children shown on Freebmd

I think you are going to have to buy a copy of his birth cert to establish his parents names and his mothers maiden name

There is a KELCHER family in Bermondsey with a Daniel born 1891 Father John Mother Frances, a maybe?
