HEINS family in Cardiff?
« on: Sunday 22 August 10 08:35 BST (UK) »
Hello all.

I wonder if anyone can help me please in finding members my HEINS family.
On free bmd, I have found a Henry Heins marriage in Cardiff 1901, also a birth of a Henry John Heins in Cardiff in 1907 and lastly a death of Henry Heins in Cardiff 1910.
If it helps, there is also a birth of Henry Heins in Liverpool 1860.
The majority of my HEINS family (including many Henry's) come from the London area after my ggg grandfather came to England from Hanover, Germany in the early 1850's
My ggg grandfather came from a large family in the Zeven area of Hanover and I know that several of his brothers and sisters moved to other countries.
Any help would be appreciated.

I see death  age  in 1910 but gives age as 36yrs that would not match the above

Thank you for that cardiff, it's all a great help.

That was what I was banking on, the way the surname is spelt!!!
I feel sure that these people are related, if some what distantly.
I suppose I am really looking for people who were born around the time of my ggg grandfather (1825 ish), as I could then make a match, somehow.

Many thanks,
F H

Hi
Stupid question but have you started at the now and then gone back wards? With BMD certificate that you have of your grandparents?
People always want to start at the begining but you should always start at the end  yourself!
cheers cardiff :)

Hi cardiff.
Yes, I have started that way and had great success.
I got all the way back to my ggg grandfather (b. 1828) in The Kingdom of Hanover.
Then with help from a distant cousin in the USA, managed to trace the rest of his family back to the 1600's.
But the problem I seem to have now, is tracing my ggg grandfathers brothers and sisters. There were 8 children in all. Of them, one of his older brothers did come to England, married here, had two sons, then went off to the USA. Another younger sister married in Hanover and again went to the USA.
It's the other siblings and parents(Johann and Anna) that I am trying to trace. So when I have seen the name of HEINS in Wales and Liverpool area's this makes me think that other's from the family may just have come here too.
Thanks
F H
