Hi Everyone,

Certificate just arrived, info on certificate:

Thomas Winter b. 13th February 1862.  address given as 7 Tramroad N, Merthyr.

Father:  Joseph Bayles Winter.   Iron Shearer.

Mother:  Frances Winter formerly Joseph.

All living at  7 Tramroad N, Merthyr.   Informant was father Joseph Bayles Winter.

Hoping someone can solve this on the 1871 census so that I can confirm and trace other lines of the correct family.

Many thanks Retpara.

Hi Retpara

Not sure whether this is something or nothing but thought I would send it anyway...................... who knows?

1861 Census RG9 Piece 4055 Folio 121 Pg 49

Civil Parish Methyr -  Town Merthyr Tydfil -  County Glamorgan -  Living at 44 Tramroadside

Joseph Bayles Head Married b 1836 Merthyr Glamorgan Labourer in Iron Works
Frances Bayles Wife b 1835 Tremains Cardiganshire

Coincidence maybe ......... worth investigating further, most definitely!!!

Regards

Z :)

Hi Z,

Many thanks, this does look a great possibility just come off FreeBMD and found 1861 was the year they got married, so this I think would be their first matrimonial home, but sadly I have also found that Frances died 5 years later in 1866 at the age of 29 and Joseph remarried in 1867 in Pontypridd. This may well be the reason cannot trace family in 1871, but it gives more information for searching.

Thanks again Retpara.
