Has anyone any info on the above name? It seems an unusual name so hopefully some one might help!

I don't know if he is deceased as we do not have anything to do with that part of the family.

Hi

I have took note of your grandfather's name, can you modify your post and delete it. At the moment I haven't found a birth for him. However I checked to see if these people are deceased and they are.

James W H Armiger married Phyllis L (Louise) P Howard 1922, Isle of Wight.

Ref 2b 1605

As their names are unusual I think these could possibly be the ones you are looking for. I'll see if I can find your grandfather

Hi

Death of Phyllis Louise Armiger

Dec 1995, Reg district Isle of Wight, born 22 Jan 1903

Possible birth

Phyllis Louise Howard, 1903, Q1, Isle of Wight, 2b615

Death of James W H Armiger

1962, IOW, approx age at death 76, which brings his birth year approx 1886

Only possible birth I can see

James W II Armiger, 1886, Mu(i)tford, Norfolk, Suffolk, 4a 303

I have seen this person James in the 1891 and 1901 census, however the same applies to Phyllis to go back for certain you would need to purchase their marriage certificate at least, to find out who their father's were.
