Recent Death in Toronto
« on: Tuesday 24 August 10 19:12 BST (UK) »
I am searching on behalf of a relative, who lives well outside Toronto, for the death of Robert Alexander.

Robert was born in Lanarkshire, Scotland in 1922 and is believed to have died
in Downsview, Toronto, between 2000 and 2007.

I want to find confirmation of this as well as place of burial.

Your help / advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks J.J. This is a web site I did not know before.

Unfortunately, this Robert Alexander turned out to be
Robert Alexander LEITH.  I am looking for (last name)
Alexander.  Nevertheless I will keep looking through this site.

Cheers,

Rob.

No Rob, similar, but note the differences in the one I gave you above, which is Alexander last name:
LEITH, Robert Alexander "Bob"; 77; ON; Toronto Star; 2000-5-19*JB

Hope you have some success with OntarioObits, I emailed twice in May asking for the obituary of my uncle who died in March 2000 but haven't had any reply at all.  Thanks for the reminder, I'll try again, fingers crossed!

Heather

p.s. edited to add - it was my fault, I'd omitted the 'dot' in the email address!  How dozy am I?   :-[
p.p.s.  Yay!  I got a mail this morning with the relevant obituary, hope you have similar luck.

Hi Robneve,

Have you tried the Toronto Star newspaper

http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/thestar/obituary-search.aspx?daterange=99999&firstname=robert&lastname=alexander&countryid=2&stateid=47&affiliateid=2502

& other local newspapers for the obit?

Good hunting.

Hi  J.A.M.

Thanks to you and J.J. I did find Robert Alexander's obit. and
subsequently the grave.

All I have to do now is get out there and take some photographs.

Thanks again,
Rob
