Trade directories for 1841-1861
« on: Thursday 26 August 10 10:45 BST (UK) »
Please can some one look at any trade directories for 1841 to 1861 for me?

I have seen the 1856 PO directory on the Historical directories site which lists James POOLEY as a farmer in Tremaynes Crowan and James POOLEY at the St Aubyn's Arms in Praze as a farmer and Butcher. I can not access AN...y at the present time

James POOLEY from censuses:
In  1841 he was a publican in Crowan town
In 1851 he was a Farmer & publican in Churchtown Crowan
In 1861 He was an inn keeper  & butcher at the St Aubyn's Arms Praze

I know the St Aubyn's Arms was owned by the POOL family who inherited it from the GLASSON family. I also know that the GLASSONs owned property in Tremaynes and an Inn in Churchtown in 1844

I am trying to find which Pub James POOLEY was keeping in 1841 and 1851 and to find out if he was always a tenant to the GLASSON/POOL family

Hope you can help
Many thanks
