Italy and India HELP, PLEASE

Hi
I am helping a friend with his family tree but he has Indian and Italian ancestors and I have no idea where to look, I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction

best i can offer is to google italian descendants you get quite a lot of sites to look at and also for india google asian indians  as if you put just indian desc  you get native american indian sites hope this is of some use
