Hi

On Clarence's birth certificate, it should have the address where he was born
and the address of the person who notified the birth. (usually the same)

His mother  F.Stephens  notified his birth and so her address was
written down, but it was probably his father's home address too.

With luck they should be together on a census, but sometimes
one or another can just be visiting someone or working away from home
on census night.

If Clarence was not the first name of the name of the man who took on
the surname Stephens, then your Grandad's father is likely to be
another man called Clarence Stephens.

Gladys Stevens is my mother,I live in NZ,and am really keen to contact anybody related to her brother??
