Begent Charles and Ann

For some time I have been trying to trace my GGgrandfather James Begent born between 1803-5 in Chancery Lane London. I have looked at all aspects and found that he was James Begent(s).   I have looked at parish records for all churches surrounding Chancery Lane and have come across a Sarah Begents christened at St Andrews Holborn on the 18th July 1797 (died aged one) whose parents are Charles and Ann Begents.  They lived at Dean Street which was a small road off Chancery Lane.  I am therefore presuming they are the parents of James Begents.

Do any of you have any further information on Charles and Ann Begents

As James and Rachael do not seem to name Children Charles or Ann it may not be his correct Parents. (unless they died between censuses!)
Is this their Marriage ?;
James BEGENTS/Rachel HALSEY, 16 Nov 1824, St George the Martyr, Southwark, Surrey.
If you click on the Batch and just enter Begents there is this Marriage also there;
John BAIGENT/Mary BIFFIN, 27 May 1828
It may be another spelling of the Surname to consider and a possible sibling of James.

The 1824 wedding is correct and they do have children named Charles and ann.

Ist Child named Henry Charles Begent born 1825 at Totteridge Herts
Ann Begent born 1829 St Marylebone
Mary Ann Begent born 1835 Trinity St Marylebone
Other children with other names and my ggrandfather Gilbert Begent.

I  do believe Charles and Ann Begents are parents to James

From what you have found and having named children Charles and Ann I would be pretty confident that you have the the right Parents for James.
Hopefully someone will come up with more info for you in the future
