Hi

It  only gives name,  date of burial, age,  and place there is nothing to say where decd was born or any other occupants of the grave.  also as mentioned above it is not complete and many areas are not included at all.

It transcribes some of what's in the burial entry in the parish register. As the deceased's birthplace hasn't ever been shown in burial entries in parish registers (or in death registrations) nor has other occupants of the grave, it's not surprising that the NBI doesn't give this information. The "I" stands for Index, and that's just what it is - to get full details of the burial entry to need to refer to the appropriate parish register.

The NBI is incomplete, and it's usefulness obviously depends on its coverage in the county which is of interest, but it can be invaluable.
