There appears to be some information on him on p. 143 of Donald. A Whyte's Dictionary of Scottish Emigrants to the U.S.A. Vol. 2 (with an appendix and corrections to vol. 1). Baltimore: Magna Carta Book Co., 1986. 200p. He is listed as Andrew Stodart. However, I am not finding much else at this point. The 1800 census does not provide a lot to validate a name that might be spelled differently.
