Research-Chipping Norton--Blackwell

My g g grandfather,EDWIN BLACKWELL was born in 9 Sept 1811 in Chipping Norton.  I do not know the names of his parents or siblings, though would love to have that information.   Edwin was in America and married by 1838, his first son was named James W. Blackwell.  I'm wondering if Edwin's father might have been named James, as Edwin's father in law was named William, and their first born might have been named after both grandfathers.   If there are Birth Records available for 1811 I would greatly appreciate the help of anyone who could find information about Edwin for me.

I have had a look at the Church of England baptism registers for Chipping Norton (no birth registration until 1837 in this country) - although there are a couple of Blackwell families in Chipping Norton - neither of them had a son Edwin baptised in or around 1811.  There seems to have been a James Blackwell (and wife Mary) who lived at Hook Norton and attended Chipping Norton Weslyan Chaple - they had three children baptised there 1815,1819 and 1822 - unfortunatly the baptisms here only go back to 1815.  Sorry I can't think of anything else to try
