St Marys' Hull
« on: Monday 30 August 10 22:37 BST (UK) »
Hi,
Anyone know how to find out what address (and perhaps who else in the family is living there) of a couple that marry, saying they live in st Mary's hull?  That's all on the certificate. Would there be a record of such info? Thanks a lot  ::)

If there is no specific street address on the marriage cert - just a district - there is nothing to base a search on

You don't give any info re: names and date of marriage but are you trying to find them with their respective families to get more info about them?

If they were born before 1911 - have you looked for them on the 1911 census?

Hello Carole

It just says on certificate: Aug 29th 1876 the parish church in the parish of St Mary's in County of Hull

Jane Hollis    18 spinster  - - - - -   St Marys Father Reubin Hollis  Trimer?

Yes, I was trying to find out more abt both their families: and where they actually come from etc.
He was my Gt Grandma's father. Bit of a puzzle. Grateful for any help or idea's?  ::)

Hello 7blue1pink,

I had a look at your other post, and I think you're on the right track thinking George Price had an assumed name of Parnham.

Have a look at this, from the Norfolk Records office - fifth paragraph down - mentions a George Attrick Price having some property.

He certainly got around, didn't he?

Hi again,

It's certainly a mysterious family.  I don't know whether you'd thought of sending for his death certificate....?  Though maybe it wouldn't tell you much more.

There's a George Parnham who died in Norfolk in 1888, aged 32, which is the right age.... it's on Free BMD  September quarter, Guiltcross (which includes New Buckenham) 4b 150.

Hi bluepink,

I found a newspaper report about a George Parnham shooting himself - in 1888 - could be the same man - it was in New Buckenham.

It doesn't make very nice reading.... do you want me to try to post it?

Oh, please!  I really want to put this man to bed once and for all.  Ive searched and searched for a clue or lead.  I really cant thank you enough for this help.
I was just thinking I do have a Richard Pernhan who is the father of Geroge Attrick's dad George so there will be a lead there now I know for definate they are Prices/Parnhams.
I'll await this newspaper clip with mixed emotions...but Im just glad Ive nearly placed this man where he should be.
God Bless for your efforts  :-*
