Welcome Cedas,
We are so very lucky to have such wonderful hosts, Sarah and Trystan...and what a terrific site they have built for us. I share your enthusiasm, as I have been helped so much and am loving trying to help others.  What a blessing to have so many people of like mind all ending up in one forrum.  Thanks to the moderators, too who give even more of their time... and who really stay on top of things!!!
   All the best! J.J.

I found it quite by accident as I was looking for something else.  I am still new to the site, and haven't quite got the hang of the chat room   ??? But enjoy checking every day to see if some one has been able to help me or me help someone else.  :)

Within 20 minutes of posting a reply asking about an ancester on the Scilly Isle of St. Marys  I had my first reply. Within 2 hours  I had received 23 replies which gave me so much correct info and much, much more  that I was amazed at all the generous help.  That was my 2nd effort at asking.  Thank you to all those kind and helpful  Rootschatters.   SHOWERS

I'd also like to add a big 'thank you' to the many sweethearts on here who have always been so willing to help me. It's so greatly appreciated, thank you all very much indeed.

There have been times I've wanted to give up and you have given me the boost I needed to keep plugging away at it... Never mind 'how', I'm just so glad that I found RootsChat. :)

Like most people I was directed via a search engine (probably google), - Thank goodness. I was floundering around in a sea of cut short family lines, all now much extened and much due to Rootschat. I now tell every other family-hunter connection I make to getr signed up.

Cheers guys,

Mark

Welcome aboard Springbok!!

For the life of me I can't remember how I found this site, but I'm so glad I did!! But how do we explain the Rootschat 'family' to our descendants? No certificates or censuses to prove the connection!

Enjoy!!
