I had asked information for my family tree on teletexet, channel 4, and somebody sent me an e-mail recommending Rootschat.

i am not really sure, after 6 years of going around in circles on sites that made no sense or could offer any relatives i stumbled on this site.  it is an amazing site and if i never find a relative - living or dead i will still be part of a really great family right here.  Thanks guys.

Well, a hearty Rootschat welcome to you too Salamanda - the more the merrier!! :D

Plenty of different things going on here, from the completely serious to completley hilarious. In the meantime there are oodles of competent genealogists (well, somewhere!).

Best wishes, RuthieB
