Linzell Family of Middlesex
« on: Wednesday 01 September 10 20:15 BST (UK) »
I have recently discovered my Grandfathers sister, Winifrd Beer married Arthur George Linzell in 1887 in Haggerston, Middlesex, on his marriage cert he is down as a STONE CARVER, but by 1916 the date of his first daughters marriage, he is shown as a SCULPTOR, the 2 daughters were married in St Marks Church Noel Park Middlesex, has any body any info on the family? I am trying to find more about my Grandfathers immediate family, all from Shoreditch/Dalston/Haggerston area, any help re; the BEER side most appreciated.

It may be worth investing in a viewing of 1911 census -we are not allowed to post details copyright etc issues - you can search the index free.

on various census Arthur george Linzell gives occupation as Stone carver Mason/Artist stone carving Sculpture/ Architectural stone carver

He seems to be in employment -as opposed to "employer"

Maybe he carved the marble statues on gravestones or in churches???

Just a guess
