BIRTH of Joseph Rawlings HAY

Looking for a birth around 1819-20 in Croydon (taken from census)
Still hoping the birth can tell me who his mother was. I have the father on his marriage cert. John HAY.

Joseph Rawlings Hay died age 40 in 1860 he was an Publican in London area.

Hi Perro

There is a Henry Joseph Rawlings Hay, born 21 September 1815, son of John Hay and his wife Sarah.  John Hay is given as a Printer.  Is this him (or a brother?)

Christened at St John the Baptist, Clerkenwell on 10 March 1816.  Address was Vineyard Walk.

I think it must be a brother and that might help as he might turn up giving me a chance to trace family. I am sorry to say I cannot read the ocupation of John Hay on the marriage cert of Joseph's I will dig it out and have another go.

Joseph is also turning up as Joseph Rollings Hay as well as Joseph Rawlings Hay as well.....and that ?brother as Henry Joseph Roselina Hay

is he the one at 20 Abingdon Road on the 1841 census?

Thanks Ruth great work I have also found it miss spelt but it was Rawlings so I took a look in Clerkenwell  and yes a Joseph Hay was born in 1819 ch in 1820 to a John & Sarah Hay so she might be the Rawlings.

Sorry I cannot remember the address on 1841 but I think its were I got Croydon from ...He was working in London until he married a Mary Plume who was older than him in 1848 and there after was a Publican.

My man is after the computer so I am sorry to say I must leave it now....

Thanks for the help I have found Joseph birth on 19th Dec 1819 and ch 23 Feb 1820 at Spa Fields Lady Huntingdons Clerkenwell also a sister Elizabeth ch 22 Oct 1817 no given maiden name for Sarah so still guessing its Rawlings.
