Hi Again
I really appreciate your time in providing these answers - it's hard to find info in USA and Canada, specially you can't afford to subscribe to all the different resources.  Do you have any idea where you can find naturalisation records??
Thanks again

Sorry, I have no idea about Canadian Naturalisation Records... perhaps you should post a separate thread on the Canada board and see what others can tell you.

Cheers

I don't have amembership to ancestry but was able to get this info for you just by searching through the different info that is available - census, bmds, family trees, etc.

Thomas Henry and Emma Zettie Farling had the following children:
Grace L., b. 1913 Alberta, d. Gladwin, Michigan
Russell R. Farling, b. 1915 Alberta, d. Saginaw, Michigan, m. California
Olive Farling, b. 1918 Alberta, d. Michigan

Thomas H. Farling
b. 1883, Ohio
d. Gladwin, Michigan
m. Alberta

more from ancestry

Russell R. Farling Obituary 1915-2002
Olive Farling Bates Obituary 1918-1973

Thomas Farling and Family appear to be in Gladwin, Michigan in the US 1930 census.

A site that you can search for Michigan

www.deathindexes.com/michigan/index.html

If you don't already belong to ancestry, a free trial is available. The family tree section appears to have several family trees for this family.

www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/databases/western-land-grants/001007-100.01-e.php

type in Farling under names, will bring up one reference, click on Map and it will bring up a map with the location of the land grant.

The Collections Canada site has Naturalization records but they only start at 1915.

On both the Canada and US boards, at the top of the page you will see Resources. Under this section you will find lots of sites that are free to search for info in both countries. Most info is only available by province or state at there are no central registries for BMD's.

Also, when looking for information on the same family on different boards, let us know. That way we won't post information that you already have. We often find more information than what you are looking for and will post it just in case you don't have it. If you have all other information and are only looking for something specific just mention it.

On the US board, looking for info on Russell Farling, 1930 US census.

Good luck with your search.
