Farrow Family from Kendal, Westmorland to Canada

Seeking information on Thomas Farrow b. 1852(Kendal, England), m. Nancy Shepherd (b. 1852 Kendal, England) at Parish Church in Kendal in 1872. Their children were all born in Kendal, England: Hannah b. 1873, William b. 1880, Thomas b.1882, George b. 1884, Richard b. 1886, Nancy b. 1889, Margaret Agnes b. 1890, Mary Elizabeth b. 1892, Robert b.1896 and Maud b. 1898. Many family members came to Canada in the early 1900's. I believe Thomas Farrow and Nancy Shepherd are buried in Toronto, Canada.  Could anyone confirm? TIA

Both are buried in Prospect Cemetery Toronto.

Nancy Farrow died at age 66 on Feb 18, 1920 York Township, York County, at 19 Raybould Ave. - no actual city or village given.  Buried Feb 21, 1920 at Prospect.  Cause of death influenza and pneumonia.  No other information as to parents etc. given except she was born in England.

Margaret Agnes Farrow married Charles Andrew Hogg Sept 25, 1912 at Toronto, Ontario.  Mrs. Margaret Hogg of 4 Caesar Ave of the village of Mt Dennis is the daughter of Thomas Frederick Farrow and was the informant at his death May 3, 1936.  He was buried May 6, 1936 at Prospect.  Cause of death pneumonia, senility, gangrene?.  Thomas was widowed, living at the same address as his daughter Margaret, retired labourer, s/o James and Elizabeth Farrow, b. England, age 86.

Thanks for the information provided.  Confused now regarding Thomas Farrow married to Nancy Shepherd.  Thought his full name was Thomas Charles Farrow and he was born in 1852 in Middlesex or Bermondsey.  He is on the UK census in 1881 living at 21 Chapel Lane in Kendal and in 1891 living at 164 Kirkland in Kendal.  I was not aware that Thomas Fredrick Farrow is the full name of Thomas Farrow married to Nancy Shepherd.  This conflicts with information I have. Nancy Shepherd's parents are William Shepherd and Nancy Troughton of Kendal, Westmorland, England. I am uncertain of Thomas Farrow's parents and would appreciate further help.  Thx.

In 1861 a Thomas Farrow is living at 9 Albion Place, Bermondsey with his father, James Farrow, age 55, a widower.  (Thomas was born in 1852 in Bermondsey.)

 I have just found the same entry and Thomas is with father James and siblings Elizabeth, Louisa, John and Arthur.  The eldest daughter being called Elizabeth is a good hint that the mother had that name too.  1851 may solve that conundrum.

1871 British census in Kendal Westmoreland 19 year old Thomas Farrow is boarding with 66 year old Elizabeth Swainson.  Birth is shown as Bermondsey S.E.

Does his marriage registration Dec 1872 Kendal 10b 1201 give his full name?

Hannah, d/o Thomas Farrow and Nancy Shepherd probably married Dec 1897 Kendall 10b 1227 to George Albert Troughton.  On the British 1901 census Hannah Troughton b. 1874 Kendal is married and living with daughter Nancy F. age 2 although husband seems not to be in the household.

On the 1911 Canadian census the family of George Troughton 37 (Dec 1874 Eng.) and Hannah 37 (May 1874 Eng.) are living in Toronto York South with children Nancy 12 (Dec 1895 Eng.), George 8 (Sept 1903 Eng.) and Frank 1 (Sept 1909 Ont.).  George and Nancy show an immigration year of 1906 and Hannah and George 1907.

Hannah and George A. Troughton are on the Virginian which travelled from Liverpool to Montreal arriving 31 May 1907.  She was going to her husband, a carpenter, in Toronto.

There is a birth registration in Ontario for baby Frank although his name at registration was
Thomas Frederick Troughton b. 10 Sept 1909.  Father George Albert Troughton, working for the CPR (railway) and mother Hannah Farrow.  Parents were married 1898 in England.

A roundabout way of perhaps giving validity to the second name of Thomas being Frederick?

James Farrow located at 9 Albion in the 1861 census, age 55, widower appears to be the father of Thomas Charles Farrow b. 1852. Would anyone know the ages or dob of Thomas Farrow's siblings Elizabeth, Louisa, John & Arthur as shown on the 1861 census?  Also, are any of them on the 1851 census? Thomas would not be found since he was born in 1852. Lastly, James Farrow's wife appears to be named Elizabeth, any idea of her maiden name, dob, etc? TIA
