Yes I do believe Everard had relatives in Bristol, on 1901 is a John Furlong b1868 Luton,  living in Bristol with a son Everard George!

He is also a Schoolmaster.

That's great! That must be the connection. Do you have any details of others at the same address?

Also, and this is bizzare, I was told that One of the Furlongs used to jump off a bridge in Bristol with a lit cigarette in his mouth, the come to the water's surface with the cigarette still lit. There was some talk of it being part of a circus act..but that might be folklore.

Thanks for the info. I now know why one of the Everards went by the name George, probably to avoid confusion. This is the first Ive heard of 2 Everards.
