Hi all,

Just found the following could this be his father? I know from prior experience that the marriage more than likely would have taken place in the same parish as where the mother was born. I have constructed a time line to show how it appears to fit in.

John Dickie 1760 Marriage to Kathrin Forrest Middle Or New Parish,Greenock,Renfrew,Scotland ( so far this matches up with they hailed from port glasgow and during this time period it was known as the county of renfrew (now inverclyde today))

Children:

Ninan Dickie born 1761
John  Dickie born 1764
Mary  Dickie born 1766

John Dickie Born 1764 Middle Or New Parish, Greenock, Renfrew, Scotland Parents were John Dickie & kathrin, Catherine Forrest.

John Dickie 1789 Marriage to Marrion Niven Low Church, Paisley, Renfrew

Children:

John Born 1791
Mary Born  1793
Cicel Born 1795
David Born 1797
William Born 1800
James Born 1802
Charles Born 1804

Charles Dickie Born 1804 Low Church, Paisley, Renfrew Parents were John Dickie & Marrion, Margrey, Margaret Niven.

Cheers

Akira
