I spotted this whilst looking for another archive.

Some members may find this a useful source if their ancestors played Rugby for Ireland.

Irish Rugby Football Union
10/12, Lansdowne Road , Dublin 4.
Tel: +353 1 6473801

Seventeen Irish rugby internationals died in the First and Second World Wars. From the Boer War onwards, over thirty were decorated for their wartime service. The IRFU hold a number of books which record their sacrifice, including The Rugby Internationals Roll of Honour, (1919). The IRFU also have a large collection of National and Club histories that contain information of military interest. Some of this material would also be available in public libraries. Please write to the address shown above for further information.

There's also information about players on www.irishrugby.ie/227_7678.php?searchinit=A

Fore! Rootschatters with Irish ancestors who played golf may find them on this site.
It contains most, if not all, of the golf courses in Ireland and in some instances gives
the history of clubs and in other instances gives the history as well as contining lists
