Elliott Family, Coventry
« on: Tuesday 07 September 10 23:36 BST (UK) »
Hi,

I'm doing my family history research into the Elliott family.  I am from Northern Ireland; my grandfather died in Coventry in the 1990's.

Sorry for the scant information; but that is as much as I know.  I think he left Derry (in Northern Ireland) in the 1950's.  I am assuming that he was in his late 60's early 70's when he died.

He was a blacksmith by trade.

I would be grateful for any information on the Elliott family in Coventry.

Many thanks

Thank you for your reply Xin.  Sorry for the delay in getting back - it's been on of those weeks!

I have no dates to work off except that he died in the mid to late 1990's and that he is buried in Coventry.  His name was Nugent and he was a blacksmith by trade.

Sorry but I seemed to be shooting in the dark here.  My grandmother died here in Derry in 2002 so I cant ask her any information; as has his siblings.  My father has no contact with him all through his life - hence the scant information.

Thank you so much

x x

There is a members tree  on the Elliott family in Cov etc  and it shows Hugh Nugent are you a member of Ancestry??

If not pm your email add to me and I will forward it to them or ask them to contact you.

That is unless its your Tree.

Hi Xin,

I'm only seeing the post of the birth record now.  He came from a very large family (typical Irish!!).  He was born here, in Derry.  He left for Coventry in the 1950's or thereabouts; and lived there until he died.

Thanks for your help, you are very kind!
