Widow Margaret Hetherington

Hi i have a Margaret Hetherington {nee Graham} born about 1799 she married a Thomas Hetherington who died in 1824 they had a son called Matthew born 1820 she went on and married a Walter Laidlaw and lived in Etterby .What i want to know is where i could find both Margaret and Thomas birth cert also Thomas death cert is there a online site i could use

There were no birth or death certs for that period - only entries in the parish register

Unfortunately these dates are before civil registration started in 1837 so the only records you will find will be parish register entries.  You might find marriages and baptisms on www.familysearch.org but you are unlikely to find burials there and will need to look at the original church registers.  The original registers will be held at the local record office but you may be able to access films of them at your nearest LDS family history centre.  They will be listed on the website I quoted above.

Is the surname Laidlaw or Laidlow?

The 1851 census again shows the surname as Laidlow - not Laidlaw and Margaret is shown as b Wetheral Cumberland 1799

IGI again - shown as christened 7.7.1799 Wetheral on the index but not on the transcription

MARGARET GRAHAM    Father:  THOMAS GRAHAM    Mother:  ELIZABETH CREIGHTON
