Mary Peacock - to Australia 1850

I have just found the above b. 1 Jan 1832 who went to Australia in 1850 and married my ancestor - a pardoned convict Robert Turbitt.  Her parents were William and Grace McBurney.  What I am trying to determine is was she transported to Oz or did she emigrate there of her own free will.
