Hello Derrick (Nora's Derrick I assume!) :o

Its Julie (Gordons brother's Daughter) - we are on the same mission!  I lost John Grandfather after Ann died too.  It all became a bit vague as Charles and Sam had their own lives by then and it becomes living memory.  Yep, I'm back as far as St Martins and then it gets tricky to prove as its practically prehistoric.

Really good to know we are on the same track as my head is a whirl with all the Edwards' and Jones' involved.  Researched Ann Jones too (grannyannie).  You will know her dad was Samuel Jones (a Smith) and it looks like she went into domestic service at 13yrs, her dad having got married again to a Delilah Edwards (this looks the most likely root anyway but as I said...Jones...Edwards....its a mine field).

Excellent news having a partner in crime. The Lampeter marriage I cant help with but an interesting new bit of the jigsaw for me.  Keep in touch - we must swap notes and thanks for getting back.  Dad will be chuffed.

Julie  ;D

Oh, to add to that, Charles birth certificate registers him as on Charles Edwards (no Archibald).  None of them had middle names (until dad and Gordon et al) as far as I can see.

Hi Julie,
Charles Archibald Edwards was baptised December, 25, 1885 in Cinders Ruabon,
son of John and Ann Edwards.
On the 1901 census they were living in Woodcote Newport, John was a game keeper, both children were living with them Charles A Edwards and Samuel Edwards.
There was a Achibald Edwards cowman on a farm living in Bryn Newydd Marchwiel near Wrexham on the 1911 census, this could be Charles may have preferred using his second Name.
Its a possibility.
If you could give your email address to your Uncle Gordon, I will give you the link to the family tree that I have posted on the web.
Cheers Derrick.
