Can someone  please tell me in which townland or DED I should look for Port Noo Donegal. Did the town exist under that name in the 1830's?

Thanks  Orkrad.

Hi,
Cannot find it in Griffiths Circa 1858 or in the 1901 or 1911 census but it is on mordern maps.

Regards

EDIT I would guess that the DED is DAWROS as it covers the town of Naran and surrounding area.

Here it is on the Map
Portnoo, doPortnoo, donegalnegal
The nearest townland to it is Naran and that is comming up on the griffiths valuation, so I would check under that

it is one word Portnoo in County donegal.  It is pass Naran on the map, Clogher West.

If you have access to www.google.com when the box comes up type in Portnoo County donegal.  I have never heard of this place but the photo of it, it look lovely.  Have you got a family surname.
