Betsy Mackay
« on: Saturday 11 September 10 12:02 BST (UK) »
Betsy Mackay (ms Macpherson) died in Stromness on 2nd October,
1913. I am presuming she was buried there, although her
usual home was Melvich, Sutherland.
Would there be any index of burials available.
Betsy was married in 1879 at Thurso, to Hugh Mackay a carpenter.
Her brother W Macpherson of Alfred Street, Stomness registered
her death.
Might there still be Macpherson's at Stromness?
Betsy would have been the grandmother of my brother in law,
John Mackay for whom I am carrying out some research.
Many thanks.
Ian
