Hi.
Are you looking for living  Descendants of James, Wife Ann and Children Elizabeth, John, Ann and Mary.?
(children all born Cheshire and christenings are on Familysearch Pilot, St Hillarys, Wallasey)
Was Ann, Anna OLIVER who married James 1839?
Or more info on James Parents and Family, ie going backwards with this Family?

Trish :)

From the Marriage info I posted we know James was the Son of James but that is all.
If you can get the M/C it will provide his Fathers Occp. We then may be able to find him on the 1841/1851 Census if still alive.
Although James Jnr was born in Canterbury, Kent, his Father may not have been.
It is a bit of a problem as I cant find on Census entries any other Ravenhills born c 1800 Canterbury, Kent, that could be possible siblings.

James RAVENHILL, Sept 1839, Wirral, 19 255
On the same page is Ann OLIVER

Reference his Army career , he actually joined the Royal Artillery as an underage drummer in 1812 , before becoming a Gunner when 16 ( ish ) and for some reason was not attested until 1830 .
