Going back to earlier post on this thread - re. 2 Ernest's.    Poster querying that Susannah's son's birth not registered but indeed he was!

His name at baptism was Ernest George Margetson but his birth was registered as Ernest George Margertson in Dec.qtr.1891 Wayland.  His birth and baptism were 1891 not 1890 as stated.

Susannah may have simply named her son in honour of her nephew Ernest who died an infant earlier that year.

Abraham and Batterbee had 6 issue so you can add these 2:-
Henry.........21 February 1803 in Cranworth with Letton & bapt. 24th February, 1803.
Susannah.........11 December 1805 in Cranworth with Letton & bapt. 22nd December, 1805.

Susannah married Edward CLARKE 19 October 1826, Shipdham.
Note: also Edward Clarke Oakley. [never found his actual names].
Banns and Marriage registers clearly written Edward Clarke Oakley. Also in baptism registers for children as Edward Oakley Clarke. Witnesses to marriage to Susanna:- John Clarke Oakley & Maria Cross. All 4 signed.
1841 census.....Family of 8 living in Hill Street, Shipdham.
1851 census.....Susan and Edward have 7 children at home in Fen Falgate, Shipdham.
1861 census…..Same address 10 years later but only 2 children still at home with parents.
1871 census…..On their own now, both aged 65 and still in Fen Falgate, Shipdham.
She was baptised as Hannah which is very clear in the register.
Assumed that Hannah and Susannah are the same person. Banns and Marriage registers:- Susanna Margetson spinster OTP. She signed clearly as Margetson. Banns were read on 24th September, 1st and 8th October, 1826.
