Lookup please - Barnes/Brennan - Wicklow

I am trying to locate the marriage of Patrick Barnes and Elizabeth, possibly Brennan.

The baptism of two of their sons, John and Patrick took place in Blatinglass, Wicklow in 1868 and 1870 so I'm hoping that the marriage would have taken place in Baltinglass around that time too.

The family moved to Dublin by about 1874 so there is a chance they originally came from there.

Births of either Patrick or Elizabeth would be gratefully received too if they're on record anywhere.

Do you have actual baptism records for John and Patrick or just the extracted civil records ?

Baltinglass is probably the registration district rather than the actual residence. You can use the reference numbers on the extracted records to work out the full BMD Index details required to order certs from the GRO which will give you more details on the births.

The marriage could be before the start of full civil registration in 1864 - were the Barnes/Brennan family catholic ?

Thank you. I had found all of those children except Eliza.

It is only the extracted records I have for them.

I'm new to Irish family history, all but 2 people are English in my tree so this is a whole new ball game!

I'll have a look at the link you posted and try and work out how to order birth certs. Thanks again
