Hi Nick

There is a Jesse Edgar on the 1861 Lancashire Index living at Lathom, Ormskirk as follows:

Piece No 2766     Folio 6a

Jesse Edgar   40
Elizabeth        42
William            20
John                12
James               8

Sorry I don't have the actual census but hope this helps.

Sheila

Hi Nick

Searched for John Edgar between 5 and 15 years old.

The only other Edgar family coming up on the 1861 index is living Toxteth and is headed by Eleanor 19, there do not appear to be any parents listed.

Having said that the index is not fully transcribed yet. Maybe if you post another request giving the folio and piece nos. someone with the 1861 census may be able to offer more info.

Sorry couldn't be more help.

Sheila

Hello, I have some Edgar's in my family.  James was my great grandfather and William, his son, my grandfather.  At some point they moved to the Isle of Man and about five more children were born there before they returned to Liverpool.  James was a basket maker.  I'm new to genealogy so I'm just finding my way.  Hope you don't mind the intrusion.  Dee
