Hi perth,

FreeBMD has this marriage registration:

Henry A Barber    DecQ 1919    Greenwich    1d   2115    (Bride: Ethel M Evans)

Also 2 Barber births (with mmn Evans) in Greenwich; male in 1924, male in 1927.

Does this match your info?

Hi,

Do you the names/occupations of the fathers?

I went for the Greenwich births as they matched the marriage area.  Marriages usually took place in the bride's parish and she often "went home to mother" to have her babies.

Hi,

Can you scan and attach that section of the certificate?    Could it be "cab proprietor"?

Might be an idea to get a copy of the 1927 birth certificate to make sure it's the correct family.

Looks like cab proprietor to me........  :-\

Have you looked for Henry or Ethel on 1911 census?  They might still be living at home which could show up brothers/sisters.
