US census on Internet Archive

I've just been searching on http://www.archive.org/ and I have found that there are books of microfiche copies of most US censuses for most states.
Select "Texts" then search for "population schedules" and the state you are interested in.
Admittedly it is a bit laborious if you are searching for a particular name but handy if you know the county and if you have few spare hours during the day it should make happy hunting 
I'm not sure if this has been mentioned in a previous posting so apologies if I'm repeating something which is already known.
