Hi

I was looking for Linlithgow Poor House records a while ago.  Here's a reply I received to an email to Lothian Health Services Archive:

"Thanks very much for your enquiry about the Linlithgow Poorhouse records.

We do indeed hold them and those dating from 1909 and earlier are available for consultation at the Centre for Research Collections, 6th floor, Edinburgh University Library, George Square, Edinburgh. More information about registration can be found here: http://www.lhsa.lib.ed.ac.uk/services/index.html.

You will need to make an appointment, usually at least two days in advance to ensure that there is a member of LHSA staff available."
