both labs. and beta. are familysearch - they just keep moving things around, testing, etc ... hard to keep track of what is what.

I don't see any certificate errors, but am using FireFox (rarely use Internet Explorer).

Not sure exactly what your problem is here.
I am at the labs.familysearch.org and after doing a search, I clicked on a particular promising entry.  After notating the film, vol, etc information ... there's a link to search the collection ... then you can choose the digital folder. A viewer comes up on the next screen stating loading image ... but nothing ever happens. I've tried it on several entries.
Has anyone been able to view these images yet? Or it is just me?
I also use Firefox and have no problem on LDS Pilot site. Clicking on the link to "About this Collection" brings up a separate tab with general information- no where on that new page does it give an option to view actual images.

Ok, I did not notice this before, but after going to labs.familysearch.org and clicking on the search link ... it takes you to beta.familysearch.org.

Josephine Neary
Death: 1995 Ireland

Click on Josephine Mary Neary
births: Jan-Mar 1926 Kilkenny

On the new page, just under the large square: "Image is not available online"
there is the link: Search This collection.
Note the Digital Folder Number :  4195645

So, I click on the Search this collection link ... scroll to the above number ... click on it ... new screen is the viewer ... but only says Loading IMage and that is it - nothing ever happens.

And this is on ANY search result - even random names I make up ...

It almost makes me think they haven't loaded ANY images. But then they shouldn't have added (or made live) those links until they did.

This is the link for the LDS Beta site- http://beta.familysearch.org/
I tried searching for your Josephine Neary there but didn't get the entry you seem to find.

Good question Barbara.

I'm not an expert on these matters but as far as I know, a Beta site is one that is currently under test in a 'real world' environment. Usually the people running a Beta test will ask for feedback on which functions are working and welcome and which parts of the program are not working or not needed.

I vaguely remember reading somewhere that the LDS site will have an image-view link to Ancestry.com on a ppv basis.

That's probably why you can't currently view the images.

Dara.

Looks like they have only done the images to 1958... (See 2)... blank screen for image, so they might have the image but like it says, "Not Online"

Looks like it a case of "So Neary, yet so far... " but they could put them online at some stage, the images must be in the folder, it's just when they'll permit them to be viewed!

If, and when, the image does appear it will probably be a scan of the page in the index and not the actual certificate.
