Has any body any information on William Spindlow, all I know of him is he had a son Robert (1843), who was married to a Jane Murphy.They were from Co Tyrone. They had about twelve children two being James an Robert, who worked as lightermen on the canals Lurgan. The family grave is in the Brackaville cemetery coal island.

William Spindlow ( father William) married Ann McCullough in 1821, then Hannah Patterson in Brackaville in 1846. He had 7 children - Emily, Margaret, Mary Ann, Robert, John. James & William. I don't know their birth order or d.o.bs. This seems like the same family. Do you have any other information?

It does seem to be the same family. All I know is my husbands great great grandfather was Robert Spindlow, 1843-1892 Brackaville coalisland.
His father William I have absolutely no information on him.
I do know a lot of the family were lightermen on the canals.
From Robert to date I have all information.

Hi,

I am researching my friends family tree and her grandparents were William and Evelyn Spindlow who resided in Lambeg, Lisburn. Having looked at the posts here, I believe there is a connection with the Spindlows of Coalisland. I would be grateful if anyone could give me any further information regarding the family.

Do you have any dates or further family names? There seem to be two branches of the family both originating in Coalisland, Co Tyrone. One branch descends from William Spindlow & the other from Harrison Spindlow. Perhaps they were brothers? Any further dates or ancestors names should help to pinpoint their origins.

I have a William Spindlow who married Abigail Lunn in Belfast on 26/8/1921.William was a lighter man. He was 44 in 1921. His father was Robert Spindlow, Roberts occupation was recorded as a seaman. Abigail was a widow, maiden name was Peel.

Theres a Latitia SPINLOW on 1901 census
James Spinlow on 1911 census just in case you missed them due to the spelling.
