The recipe sounds delicious.  I tried making it once, but think I must have got the recipe mixed up with the one for treacle toffee ... it was so hard we had to snap pieces off, and suck them ....

Hi Su,

If you can make bread you can make parkin.  I used to have a recipe given to me years ago, think I threw it!!!! but if I can find it I will send it to you, may not be as good as the Yorkshire Parkin.  All this is not good for the diet - - - Monday!!!!! didn't say which!
