I think the 1881 has been mis-transcribed.  If you look at the original image, it looks much more like Alex Grange

I addition, there is no birth registration for Alex Range in the right time/place, but there is this

Alexander Grange  1869  Jan-Feb-Mar   Aylesbury  Vol 3a  Page 533

1871 - RG10/1413/98/13

Chambers Green, St Leonards, Bucks

Richard Grange  Head  Mar  43   Farmer of 80 acres emp 3M 2B  Herts, Long Marston
Lydia Eliza Grange  Wife  Mar  42 Middlesex, Kilburne
William Grange  Son 14   Bucks, Wingrave
Anny Grange  Daur  12  Bucks, Wingrave
Agnes Grange   Daur  8  Bucks, Wingrave
Rose Allice Grange   Daur  4   Cambridge, Kingston
Alexander Grange  Son  2  Bucks, St Leonards

with thanks linda! yes i see what you mean, i think it is a misprint, thank you for the info on it anyway but i thought it was range and their would have been a connection to the family of seftons, now- i dont think so, i can eradicate that part now, so thanks again, k.
