Plomesgate Workhouse
« on: Monday 04 October 10 21:46 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find a list of inmates living in Plomesgate Worhouse when it closed in 1934/6.  I need to find out where they were transferred to and hoping to find a death or burial record for my great grandfather, James Keeble born in Wickham Market in 1860.  His wife Jane died in Plomesgate in 1932.  I would appreciate any help or advice on this please?

By the time of your searches, Plomesgate Union Workhouse was better known as Wickham Market Infirmary.

Pat ...

Every time I find an ancestor,
I have to find two more!

SUFFOLK - Pendle, Stygall, Pipe, Fruer, Bridges, Fisk, Bellamy, Sparham - all link to  Framlingham
DERBY - Bridges and Frost (originally Framlingham/Parham)
NOTTINGHAM - Lambert & Selby
BERKSHIRE/then Hammersmith LDN - Fulker
LDN/MDX - Murray, Clancy, Broker, Hoskins, Marsden, Wilson, Sale

GGfather Michael Wilson born Cork, lived Fulham London - moved to Boston USA 1889, what happened next?
