Molong Historical Society has some records online you might like to look through here:

http://www.users.on.net/~quincejam/mhsmolng.html

Walter T England died in the Molong district but that doesn't mean he was buried there  :)

He doesn't appear to have a MI at Molong, Bathurst or Kelso.

If by chance that was Bridget's burial at Bathurst you'd think that her death registration would carry her parents names as they & other family members were still alive when that Bridget DAVIS death was registered at Molong in 1892  ???

DAVIS  Bridget d. 1892  MOLONG #8373
Parents: UNKNOWN

It's also possible that Henry died & she remarried, have you checked for that?

WhenI couldn't find any births or death for Bridget the first thing I did was check for another marriage.
Couldn't find a death nor a birth for Henry @ Bathurst either.

Bit of a mystery I am afraid. Seem to get a few to these  ::)

Hi Jon
New to this site, and I am also researching the descendants of Robert England and Charlotte Vickery.
I am a descendant of their son George England and his first wife Eliza Felstead.
TJW

That could be more than half a chance. Just found one of her nephews: -
Walter T England buried at Molong in 1922 ;D

Can you advise me wher to go from here. Is there somewhere I can check further?

Thanx in advance

Jon

Good to hear from you. I have been trying to trace the whole ENGLAND family exodus out of Somerset. Robert England 1821 - 1897 is a first cousin 4x removed.

To swap our private contact details you need to have three posts completed and
then we can send each other our contact details.

There is a little green scrool icon under our names and you click on that to send a private mesage.

I look forward to hearing from you.

hi

Are you sure they used the DAVIS/DAVIES  surname?
Although Ican find no births for the following
if they used ENGLAND there are these entries:

the deaths of three possible children in NSW BDM'
DUBBO 1896 Edward England son of Henry and Bridget
KATOOMBA 1899 Henry W. England son of Henry and Bridget
KATOOMBA 1929 John J. England son of Henry and Bridget

Bridget possibly in
LITHGOW  1901 Bridget England no parents given in index

Katoomba and Lithgow are in the right region and the death in Dubbo cannot be ruled out may have been work related.

Robyn,

Interesting theory and one that would be  first for me...taking on the wife's maiden name.  Still, there should be some births registered.

There is a death for a Bridget H. Davies in Glebe in 1893 which I'm attributing to her. I still need to evidence the fact though, as the father's name has been reported as Thomas and not Robert.

No mother's name is recorded so I would suggest the informant was not a close family member. Perhaps TJW will have some information for me?

Alos don't have a Henry England with wife Bridget so will go looking for them..!

Henry England and Bridget Madden married in NSW in 1844.
They had 6 children including those you have mentioned from the mid 1840's onwards.

Well there comes a time when we have to dig deep inot our pockets and purchase a certificate or two to either prove or to rule out a person.

There is an 1883 marriage in Glebe between William Davis and Bridget Ryan.

noted at ORANGE 4 births to Henry Davis  mother ellen

Bridget Hellenor may have been known as Ellen

1876 James  most likely
possible but 20 years  gap!!!!
1892 Loiusa E
1894 Edwatrd G
1896 Alfred W

few more at other locations in between.
