Probate records note the death on 27 March 1884 of Mary Elizabeth Armitage of 5 Russell Road , Kensington, Middlesex
We strongly suspect that she was related to the Walker family but I am unable to determine who her husband was or where she was born. Help appreciated greatly!

From there, the most likely match I can see in 1861 (she's already widowed in 1871) is a Mary Elizabeth Armitage born Quainton Buckinghamshire, husband William Henry Armitage, 58, Wine Merchant, b. Yorkshire Almondbury
(RG9/2649 45 3 at Poulton cum Seacombe Cheshire)

Thanks, Tati! If this is the right person then my guess is that the connection was the "wine merchant" occupation rather than a family tie. The two executors of her estate were both wine merchants so they were likely friends and business associates. The place of birth of this woman does not mesh with where the Walkers originated. I really appreciate your speedy and helpful response!!

His mother-in-law is named Hannah WATSON (or is it WALTON?)
