'Rose' Family from Sherington, Buckinghamshire

Hi Folks,

I am helping an elderly man research his family tree. The surname is 'Rose'. In the 1841 census I have an Abraham Rose age 15 living at 'Churchends'.  Can anyone assist him get a little futher back with this gent.  Is the correct church to search St Lauds??  Appreciate any assistance I get.

an Abraham Barrat Rose is ch 11th May 1823 of Elizabeth Rose at Sherington.
This could well be him. Ages in the 1841 Census were rounded down to the nearest 5 years, so an 1823 birth would make him 18, rounded to 15.
There is no father's name on the entry, so it may be he was illegitimate. Be worth checking the register? (Maybe a clue in giving him a middle name?) Interestingly there is an Abraham Barret ch 1825..........
